Smart clothing doesn’t guarantee smart business
Experts revealed that there’s no guarantee that dressing smartly can guarantee a smart-looking business. Despite this pronouncement, dress code standards are still considered a hot debate topic in the workplace after pay issues and benefits.
These days, there’s a relaxed view on dress codes compared to a couple of decades ago. Fewer companies are now requiring the male employees to wear the usual suit and tie or females wearing pants rather than skirts. Standard dress rules nowadays include wearing smart casual business wear. In fact, some comp
anies conduct dress down days since it is proven to boost morale among employees who need not worry too much on what to wear all the time. Dress-down days are usually implemented on Fridays and during holidays. In these days, employees may be seen wearing jeans and casual polo shirts.
Experts added that employees nowadays know when to dress appropriately. Important meetings or formal job interviews will prompt them to wear formal attire. Basically, the working population is now thinking smartly on proper dress codes.
Despite this, the issue on dress codes will always exist in a company. What matters is that there’s compromise between the management and employees in order to assure productivity in the workplace.
