High school students get a glimpse of future at career conference
About twelve thousand high school students from different schools in the United States gathered at Louisville for the 64th annual career conference organized by the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA). DECA is an organization that promotes marketing, entrepreneurship and business management for aspiring students.
The participants brought with them their visual presentations and written reports and were wearing their business attire to get a feel of how their future is going to be where they will tackle issues such as business profits and stock market.
The male students wore new ties and freshly ironed polos and tuxedo while the female students wore blouses and business skirts. They have been instructed beforehand to abide with the dress code or they’ll be sent back to their hotels to change.
The event was a huge success which started on Saturday at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center.
