Business clothing giant CEO agrees cut on personal use of company jet

The chief executive of business clothing giant Abercrombie & Fitch received $ 4.2 million to reduce his personal use of the company’s jet.

The company changed the contract of CEO Mike Jeffries in order for him to limit the use of the jet to $200,000 worth of travels per year. If he goes beyond the amount, he would need to reimburse the company.

The move was made in order to reduce executive perks.

In 2008, Jeffries accounted more than a million dollars worth for the use of the company jet. At that time, he had unlimited use of the plane. The average annual cost of his travel using the plan ran at $850,000.

Jeffries said that he will repay part of the $4 million should he leave the company before February 1, 2014.
