America Recycles Day set on November 15

Tags: ,

Florida Governor Charlie Crist has recently signed a directive stating that November 15 is slated as America Recycles Day, a time where Americans are encouraged to recycle stuff deemed no longer useable at home but could serve its purpose in any other way.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has come up with a list of tips that encourages the constituents to recycle, not just during the aforementioned date but the whole year round. One of the highlights of this list is encouraging the locals to give away business clothing that are no longer used but can still be utilized by others in light of the financial crisis.

DEP’s Division of Waste Management Director Mary Jean Yon said that the America Recycles Day is a great opportunity to remind everyone that they have the power to help in preserving the limited resources of the nation and a little act of recycling can definitely go a long way.
